The main attraction of this excursion is the temple complex “Gangatilaka Vihara“. In the center this temple has the only accessible Dagoba in Sri Lanka. From afar you can see the white dome of the Buddhist circular construction, although the site itself has no historical significance, it is still a popular pilgrimage destination of devout Buddhists. It is believed that the 2,000-year-old Bodhi Tree, under which Buddha is said to have experienced enlightenment, is located here.
