Kandy – a big city in the central mountains of Sri Lanka. The main attraction of this city is the Temple of the Tooth (Sri Dalada Maligawa), which is said to house one of Buddha’s tooth from the 4th century.
A colossal Buddha statue was built on the top of Bahirawakanda Mountain in the 1990s, and can be seen from many parts of the city. The nature/natural reserve, as well as „Kandy Lake“ and the botanical garden are all very impressive sights.
