The idyllic resort on the South West coast of Sri Lanka was the first of the three Hiru Ayurveda resorts to be built. In 2009, it was renovated and transformed into an oasis of peace and relaxation.
The resort is located in the small fishing village Maggona, to the north of Beruwala, surrounded by an exotic flower garden. Placed on a rocky plateau, 25 meters above the sea, it allows you to enjoy a breath-taking view.
You will reside in one of the 18 harmoniously designed and tastefully furnished guest rooms, which are either located in the former colonial house or the new construction. All of our rooms, measured around 32 m2, have their own balcony or terrace, offering you a splendid view over the sea. Each of the rooms have a shower/bathroom, a ventilator, air conditioning, a safe, telephone, and free WIFI and is additionally equipped with a hair dryer and a mosquito net.
The ocean is directly accessible via a staircase or you can enjoy the new saltwater-infinity pool. You can either relax on the beautiful sun terrace or on one of our loungers in the tropical, palm fringed garden. You can also use the Yoga-pavilion, located on the top of the cliff with a spectacular view of the sea, the fitness equipment, as well as our open and comfortable common rooms.
The restaurant, which was newly constructed in October of 2018, has an open front, which offers you a great view of the sea and the pool. Here, we serve you your Ayurvedic menus, which are freshly prepared for you in our new kitchen. The kitchen has a see-through glass front, so that you can watch our chefs cooking and preparing your meals.

The Ayurveda-centre is the heart of the resort and has ten different treatment rooms. In this special and quiet atmosphere, you will get to enjoy your daily treatments and care from our team of qualified Ayurveda-doctors and professional therapists. If weather permits, some of the lighter treatments, such as an Ayurvedic foot or face massage and the flower bath, can be administered in our beautiful garden.

Despite the wide range of Ayurvedic treatments you will receive, you have enough time on your hands to relax or take part in a variety of activities outside the resort. For example, you have the chance to visit the authentic fishing village Maggona or the nearby towns Kalutara or Beruwela and we can also recommend a short boat or island trip. We will gladly provide you with further information about all the various activities and help you with the organisation of your excursions.
Yoga is an essential element of the Ayurvedic teachings and lifestyle. Through the practice of physical and breathing exercises as well as deep relaxation you will find new dimensions of flexibility, inner peace, and mental clarity.
